Profile & Experience

Dan Marino is an owner partner at Hickey Lawyers within its property and commercial division. During the course of his career, Dan has acted as a solicitor for small, medium and large business owners across, Queensland, New South Wales, England and Wales.

Dan is recognised as an industry leader in property development advisory, advising clients on complex titling issues in (volumetric subdivisions, residential and industrial subdivisions) acquisitions and sales. He has extensive experience in the Building Industry, both in acting for builders and developers, in settling complex construction contracts for varying scale developments. He is an active member in the field of business and tourism law, advising on business management structuring and restructuring, structuring of acquisitions and operations by way of joint venture agreements, shareholder and unit holder arrangements and partnerships.

The breadth of Dan’s expertise and experience enables him to assist enterprises of varying sizes with multidisciplinary advice across a wide range of commercial business and corporate matters including liquor and gaming operations, hotel and leisure, property development, manufacturing and industrial distribution, health and fitness services, and various consultancy service providers. Possessing complementary tertiary qualifications in business (majoring in accounting), a law degree and a master of laws (majoring in corporate and commercial law), Dan retains a strong commercial and practical approach to meeting all clients’ needs which extend beyond traditional legal advice.

Dan continues to expand his knowledge with further tertiary education and is currently completing a property development and real estate post graduate degree at Deakin University amongst other business activities outside of his role as owner partner at Hickey Lawyers. Dan sits on various charity boards from time to time including The Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.
